Everybody loves food, I mean, who doesn’t? Psst!

But, have you ever thought of food as a vehicle?

Well, I have. I have because the foods that you feed on drives you through time in terms of determining the strength, mood, and vibrance with which you carry out your daily activities.

So, food is an essential element of quotidian living. Food determines the effort you put into your daily activities i.e., it drives your day and a couple of days make up a week, then a month, then a year, then your life! The very essence of food, it’s just like a chain!!

Sadly, research states that today, 87% of people live off of stale foods twice as much as was available in the 20th century. This is thanks to busier lives, lesser family time, more exposure to fast foods and stale foods facilitators like refrigerators, microwaves, etc

Stale foods are freshly cooked foods and fresh fruits that eventually have their moisture level increased or decreased for preservation purposes. Foods get stale after at least 5 hours after cooking.

It’s relatable, life is hectic and most times, there’s no time to cook before you go to work every morning so you just steam your vegetables the night before. Most Saturdays, the leftover breakfast is eaten for lunch and, rarely, for dinner too! That’s a default lifestyle for most common families, bachelors and even spinsters.

If you have a similar lifestyle, don’t get too relaxed. That it is a lifestyle now doesn’t mean it’s healthy. I understand it’s disrespectful to throw food away but that doesn’t make eating stale food an act of respect to yourself. You’ve never realized that?

When leftovers are kept for a long time, they become stale. When leftovers are heated over and over for preservation, they become stale.

Taking In stale foods still drives you through the day despite the fact that it is stale. But the question is: Where Does Stale Food Drive You To?

          3 MAJOR EFFECTS THAT STALE FOODS CAN HAVE ON A BODY

When people start to live off of stale foods and have that as a lifestyle, bad things could happen to the body Bad things like;

  1. Inflamed taste buds: stale foods have either an increased or a decreased moisture level. The process of staling always attracts bacteria, during crystallization or heating. These processes tamper with the vitamins essential for the taste buds which means a nutritional deficiency for the taste buds which leads to inflammation of taste buds.
  1. Incomplete digestion: Stale foods are more filling than when fresh therefore they’re harder to digest and take more time too. So, it tends to cause bloating, hyper-acidity, liver sickness, and other sorts. Most times diarrhea is caused by eating stale foods that have bacteria. Stop laying so much blame on junk foods.
  1. Zero nutritional value: with every heating and preservation process a leftover food undergoes, it loses its nutritional value, and soon all you’re eating is chaff and poison. Of course, in the absence of nutritional value, there’s the presence of food poison. When food is refrigerated for over 5 hours, there, rises an accumulation of bacteria that causes the food’s acidity level to skyrocket as well!

Cook fresh, eat fresh. Vegetables and fruits should be sliced or chopped not long before they need to be served or eaten. Cultivate a lifestyle like this is capable of lengthening your lifespan. Ensure you live, truly live.

Stale food drives you downtown. By downtown, I mean subjecting you to being jailed behind the bars of sicknesses and health worries. Now, that is no way to live, truly live.

Here’s my point: constantly feed your mind. Don’t live off of yesterday’s motivation, build discipline instead. Discipline is a system of tiny motivations integrated in your daily life.

Don’t live off of stale foods! They”ll drive you downtown!!!
